A different kind of blog hop..
Hello my beloved crafty folks, today I´m here with some
fun blog hopping. A few weeks ago, I was asked by a dear scrapfriend of mine - Kristína Čepčeková to join in an ongoing blog hop. Without any hesitation I said yes. I´m always
floored with Kristína´s original creations full of modern twist. Her projects are brill and mind
blowing and so is her scrapping talent. It is absolutely off the charts. You can drop by her inspirational
blog here.
Sooo thrilled about this blog hop and having the chance to meet other talented people bitten with the crafty bug. Now let´s move on the questions to be answered:
Sooo thrilled about this blog hop and having the chance to meet other talented people bitten with the crafty bug. Now let´s move on the questions to be answered:
What am I working on right now?
In general, still trying to evolve my style, never knowing where the path will lead me. In
particular, I have my hands full with my 2 months delayed PL. As for the latest stuff - I´ve just finished this mixed media card today. See the pic below. Still having my fingers gesso stained :)
How long does it take me to
create a project?
Kind a tricky question. Basically, I create
three formats. 12x12 layouts, atc´s and cards. No doubt, mm LO´s are most time
demanding. Starting from the very first idea in my head and creating a mixed
media background to layering and adding embellies, it might be a few days. As a
mum of threes I´m rather time limited. Small format projects are usually done within hours.
What are my favourite things to create with at the
moment?
These days I´m totally
addicted to Lindy´s Stampgang Sprays. I just cannot get enough. Convincing
myself the little bottles are bottomless J. The colours are incredible
and the colour range is terrific. The next one I truly can´t go without is a white
gesso. It´s my eternal love . Gesso stains on my hands keep me calm J and happy. Besides I heart heavy weight papers such as
those from 7 dots studio,Prima Marketing. I´m not a maniac stamper, still I
often use a newspaper print background
stamping on my projects.
How does my writing/creating process work?
When creating a LO I usually start with a pic that I
want to scrap. I prefer black and white photos cause they´re pretty versatile and
work with any colour&texture background. Next step is crafting the background.
When I´m happy with it I move on to picking embellies and putting it all
together. U can easily say in what creative phase I´m, just by looking at my
table. Well, if you can find one. I begin with a clean and neat table with lots of
working space and end up with a cluttered, messy and chaotic desk. Thanks God, my cleanly hubby learned to ignore this. I simply
hate to be disturbed with any tidying up when in the middle of creative rush.
How do I become inspired and
stay inspired?
I consider myself a very sensitive person. Colours,
music, memories, films, thoughts, people, simple things in life..these inspire
me endlessly everyday. Simply, anything stimulating my senses brings new ideas
into my mind. Love to visit blogs of my fave scrap artists, scroll through on
line galleries.
What is my signature style?
When it comes to defining my style, I´m completely at
sixes and sevens for now.J Still trying to improve and get better day by day just bit by bit. The
only thing for sure now is the mixed media obsession. I love paints, inks,
making splashes and drips, random stamping, stencil work. In a nutshell, I´m
anything else but clean and simple .
Remember, the blog hop
continues. Next week you´ll have the chance to get to know the great Polish artist Bogumila Lowczak. Her creations are awesome. I admire her beautiful atc´s and cards. You can find much more on her blog here. Just stop by and watch the beauty she creates.
